We were recently contacted by photographer Tom Hnatiw. He went to three of the recent shows in the USA on the Journey Tour and has kindly sent sent us these photos and a short write-up. Thanks Tom!
The Big Country shows were something I did not want to miss, catching three of the Southern Californian concerts in Agoura Hills, Hermosa Beach and Temecula and documenting each show in pictures.
The first show at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills was just an incredible performance to see with Bruce playing guitar and performing brilliantly, Mike Peters was showing so much energy in all the songs and sounding great and Mark banging the skins in unison with each song.
The fans went wild listening to songs featured from the New CD “The Journey” mixed in with the classics. After the concert ended, Mark came out and chatted with fans and shared stories.
The Hermosa Beach show was a fan’s dream to see Big Country up close in a venue like “Saint Rocke”, the feel and concert was something you don’t get a chance to see very often.
Temecula was an Outdoor Concert that sounded incredible; I enjoyed all three shows and would have gone to more if I had been given the chance. Jaime spoke to me about the band and how they were doing for their first tour in America since 1993.
I wish the band all the best and had a nice chat with the manager at the Canyon Club a few days after the concert… He said the ‘Big Country” were the nicest people he had encountered while dealing with rock bands to perform at his club.
