Just to let you know what some of the Big Country guys have been up to.

BRUCE AND JAMIE WATSON - Another Anthem For The Damned.

The News of the World in Scotland had this to say - "It's a family affair as Big Country star Bruce Watson ropes in his younger son for 11 tracks of widescreen acoustic rock.Standouts like Edison's Last Stand, Go Now and Hollywoodland veer closer to Pat Garrett-era Bob Dylan than Fields Of Fire, but the songs are still packed with originality and bright ideas." 4/5

Bruce and Jamie are also playing the acoustic stage at this years Isle of Wight festival on 12th June. There are two warm up dates prior on - 10th at The Blue Coconut Club in Pulborough, West Sussex and the Plough Inn, Dormansland, Surrey on the 11th. MARK BRZEZICKI -

Mark has put a brand new band around original and founder member of THUNDERCLAP NEWMAN, Andy Newman. They have only done three gigs so far but they did manage to record the second one. It is a remake of the 1970 classic, Hollywood Dream. You may not know this name but you will know the song "Something In The Air". Mark takes most the lead vocals and it works. He shares them with his Godson and son of Simon, nephew of Pete, Josh Townshend. Nick Johnson is lead guitarist and Tony Stubbings plays bass. I am thrilled that this is taking place. "The Lewes show last Friday was ........ a great one ............. the line up is terrific - so good to see The Mighty Thunderclap in top form - looking for sure as one of Edward VII ‘s direct descendants. "Brilliant. M and I danced a load but had to rush for tube. Saw you videoing, but didnt want to intrude or upset and was concentrating on the music - what a fucking drummer and guitarist The Clap have , M loved it and so did I".
