| Imagine this if you will. You have heard all of the lads songs, released, demo, chart, re-mix live tapes the whole lot. But you have never seen what they look like, or better still imagine if you were blind and could only guess what the lads looked like. What do you see ? Listen to The Seer from start to finish and have no visual of them as people, what do you see then ? The Crossing ? would you still see the checked shirts ? . . :) |

Impossible for me. The first time I heard BC I saw them too. On the Ch4 documentary 'Playing At Home'. How they looked and the stage backdrop was part of what made the music even more magical.
The Steeltown 'image' suited the album. Likewise The Seer. But I hated the PIOT styling, just wasn't them. NPLH was OK. But the 3 chaps looked well cool for Skinners. WTLF didn't feel particularly 'styled'. DTD image fitted the Americana thing.
But if you ask me what the definitive BC look is ... it's 1983, it's checked shirts, it's tartan scarves tied to mic stands. Cool as. |

| I used to wear a checked shirt just because BC did and I looked cool and felt cool. When I imagine the lads image I think of them in the grey suits and dark glasses the same as in "One Great Thing" video. Bruce & Jamie's album cover when they're both holding guns, now thats more like it. Bruce looking like a resivour dog and a gangsta, awesome image. |
