...you compile a thread (albeit a fairly long one or one that has taken sometime to write due to other circumstances)and then click 'Submit' only to find that you have to sign back onto the website. Aarrrrgh! Please keep me signed in until I either.....Sign Out or Close the Page down.

To be on the safe side, right click on "Copy" after you've finished typing. If you're logged out, and forced to sign back in again. Then you can right click on "Paste". This saves the text you typed before.
Hope this helps.

And while the I.T crowd are about, how do some of you write poems and post them ? if I leave a line to start another line when I submit the post the lines are together again. . I hope I've made sense.

Anthony, the <br> function doesn't work on here, as I've tried it before.
After you've done the Cut and Paste with your poem (text), it might help to space between each paragrah (break where a new line of poem should start), and preview.
See how it looks.

i've always found that the preview gives a different output to the submitted posts. copying and pasting works. I tried a few test posts to see what worked best - sorry folks for some odd previous posts! Btw posting from a mobile sucks, i've got to get an i-phone!
