First single "Alone" is released from the album "The Buffalo Skinners", debuting in the UK chart at 29, rising to number 24. Band appear on Top Of The Pops (15 years on from Stuart's first appearance with The Skids).

Big Country perform sell out shows around the UK.

The Buffalo Skinners released, debuts at 19.

Second single, "Ships" is released, also debuts at 29. First album to have two Top 30 singles since The Seer.

UK and European sell out tour.

Big Country perform at the "Out On The Green" Festival in Switzerland, along with Lenny Kravitz, Black Crowes & Chris Isaak.

Big Country headline the Goere Festival in Holland.

Big Country's first release on new US label, Fox Records, "The One I Love", enters the tip sheet charts.

"The Buffalo Skinners" receives critical acclaim in the US.

Big Country headline the Bemb Festival, Belgium.

"The Buffalo Skinners" is released in USA.

Band perform at FOX/RCA convention in Connecticut and then perform in Cambridgeside Galleria, Boston for WFNX, their first US shows for seven years.

Band in New York for promotion.

Two sold out shows at The Olympia Theatre, Dublin West Coast USA promotion trip. Perform on "Jay Leno Tonight show".

Whilst in US band do "radio" gigs in San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas & Reno.

Commence 12 week tour of USA & Canada.

December
Return to UK 13th December from US tour.

Film & Record Live album for New Year release at Barrowlands, Glasgow. This is their first live album and fourth live video.
