"The Seer" tour opens in Holland.

Band appear on German TV "Rock Palace" which is broadcast right across Europe.

Two nights sold out at Hammersmith Odeon.

"Look Away" released and reaches No 7, giving Big Country their biggest UK hit.

"Restless Natives" soundtrack released on 12" of "Look Away" and next single, "The Teacher".

Band perform at Montreux Golden Rose Festival in Switzerland.

Headline Seinejoke Festival in Finland.

Big Country perform at 10th Birthday Party of Prince's Trust at Wembley Arena.

Big Country headline Lochem Festival, Holland.

July
Band headline at 3 day festival in Roskilde, Denmark.

"The Teacher" released and reaches No 28 and their third album, "The Seer" enters at No 2 in the UK album chart and again, album goes gold in the UK.

Big Country headline at Brittany Festival.

"One Great Thing" released in UK and climbs to No 19 giving Big Country their tenth consecutive top 30 hit.

Big Country appear as special guests of Queen at Knebworth (200,000 people) along with Status Quo and Belouis Some.

"The Seer" tour of America begins.

Band appear on "American Bandstand" and "Solid Gold" in the US.

Big Country headline show at The Pier in New York (7,000 people) which is filmed for home video by Virgin.

Tour Europe.

Live satellite TV broadcast to USA college stations from Limehouse Studios, London.

"Hold The Heart" released and peaks at No 55 in UK.
